Signs of Rising
A seagull calls on the morning,
and in return,
is the first to greet the sun—
while the moon wanes
on her western wing.
And when her belly turns orange,
the sun shall appear
for humans as well.
For there are always signs of rising—
but one must lift the gaze
to see them.
